Description

For sealing working joints in the connection: base plate/wall or wall/wall. The sheet is coated on both sides with a mineral sealing mass that has no adhesive properties, therefore no protective films are present. Additional clips and clamps must be ordered separately. Application Duxpa – Fugenblech is a galvanized sheet coated with a mineral substance for sealing working joints in concrete structural elements, e.g., between the base plate and the wall, which are constantly or periodically exposed to water. The rough surface of the sheet ensures a good connection with the concrete and effectively prevents sub-surface corrosion of the sheet. Moreover, the coating applied over the entire surface contains components that additionally strengthen the connection between the sheet and the concrete. The components of the coating seal the joint and increase its tightness. The mineral coating does not stick in bulk packaging and during installation, which is very important under changing weather conditions. This advantage is crucial during installation in summer at high temperatures (it does not stick – no protective films) as well as in winter and during precipitation. It is not washed out or damaged during any variable weather. Duxpa – Fugenblech is suitable for use in both horizontal and vertical working joints. It can be easily installed in local concrete structures and when connecting construction technologies, e.g., local concrete base plate and prefabricated hollow wall panels. It is also easy to create a connection with the Duxpa – Schwindrohr shrinkage pipe to generate controlled shrinkage cracks. Installation The Duxpa – Fugenblech sealing sheet is centrally installed in the joint and between connecting bars. The sheet, coated on both sides, is placed using Duxpa – Universalklammer wire clamps on the upper reinforcement of the base or foundation slab. Clamps, which should be placed at a distance of approx. 50 cm, are secured to the reinforcement, which additionally stabilizes the position of the sheet. The overlap at the joint of the sheets should be about 5 cm. The overlaps are secured at the top and bottom using Duxpa – Fbl – Spange clamps. Gluing the overlaps is not necessary. In the case of rounding and corners, the sheet must be bent to achieve the appropriate shape. The special coating is flexible, allowing the sheet to remain pliable even at low temperatures. When installing the Duxpa – Fugenblech sheet in vertical joints, the crossing point should be secured with two Duxpa – Fbl – Spange clamps. Additional stabilization of the vertical sheets depends on the type of walls (e.g., local concrete walls with elements of prefabricated hollow walls). The fastening of the sealing sheets must be such that the sheet cannot move during the second concrete pouring. Please follow the installation instructions! Creating forced shrinkage cracks in conjunction with Duxpa Schwindrohr is very simple. The shrinkage pipe is cut at the end and seated on the cast Duxpa Fugenblech sheet so that a gap of about 5 cm is maintained between the working joint and the bottom edge of the Duxpa Schwindrohr. This gap is necessary so that during concrete pouring, the concrete flows into the Duxpa Schwindrohr pipe to a height of about 10 cm and fills it tightly. Attention should be paid to ensure that this filling of the lower section to a height of 10 cm is performed. Working joints in the base slab. A large-area base slab according to construction standards cannot be poured as one element. It must be divided using working joints, expansion joints, and additional cuts. Therefore, Duxpa Fugenblech must be installed in the working joints of the base slab walls for sealing purposes, possibly to induce controlled shrinkage cracks in these places. Wooden battens and boards are usually used for formwork of the working joint and embedding Duxpa Fugenblech or PVC tapes. After pouring concrete, these wooden battens and boards need to be removed, which is neither simple nor easy due to the built-in reinforcement. Removing this wooden formwork from the upper part of the slab and over the Duxpa Fugenblech sheet or PVC tape is still possible. However, removing the remaining battens (formwork) beneath the Duxpa Fugenblech sheet or PVC tape is very difficult, almost impossible, and workers usually leave them in the concrete. An ideal solution to this problem is the use of Deschalkorb Fbl formwork. This formwork remains in the concrete between the reinforcement. Between the two Deschalkorb Fbl formworks, the Duxpa Fugenblech sheet or PVC tape is precisely installed. Under the lower reinforcement mat, we place a Drufa fiber-concrete strip as formwork, which simultaneously serves as a spacer providing cover. Between the lower and upper reinforcement mats above the Drufa fiber-concrete strip, we place two Deschalkorb Fbl formworks and insert the Duxpa Fugenblech sheet between them. The Deschalkorb Fbl formwork baskets are secured to the reinforcement with tying wire. The upper mat is traditionally formed using wooden battens. At the joint of the base slab with the wall, the Duxpa Fugenblech sheet in the base slab is bent upwards, and there it is joined by overlapping and fastening with Duxpa Spange to the Duxpa Fugenblech sheet installed around the entire perimeter of the base slab and wall. To perform the formwork of the working joint, the following should be applied sequentially from the bottom: Drufa fiber-concrete strip, lower Deschalkorb Fbl, Duxpa Fugenblech sheet, upper Deschalkorb Fbl, and as the upper closure, a wooden batten. Drufa fiber-concrete strip with lower reinforcement and lower Deschalkorb Fbl formwork Duxpa Fugenblech sheet, upper Deschalkorb Fbl formwork, and wooden batten. And thus, the complete formwork is ready!
